The Power of Positivity

There are certainly some times of the school year that are harder than others.  October, February, that stretch right before Spring Break… I’m sure some of you reading this can relate.  And it was those times that I found myself disciplining more often, and smiling less often.  While sometimes it can be a tough time of year for our students as well, if I had to guess that ratio had more to do with my own perspective than it did with their choices.

So this week we’re featuring a collection called ‘The Power of Positivity‘, starting with this short interview clip with Brett Noble.  Brett is perhaps one of the happiest teachers we’ve ever observed (or that I’ve ever worked with), and the impact that has on his classroom and relationships with his students is no accident.  Start by getting some insight into how he approaches this with his students, but then head to the library to see some concrete examples of other teachers practicing this in their classrooms.  You’ll find six of them (so far!) in the Collection titled ‘The Power of Positivity‘.
